Pastor Johnny McCallister has moved to Sarasota, Florida where he accepted a call to be lead pastor for Sarasota Community Church in July. His heart for the local ministry has always been a strong passion of his which led to the decision to accept this opportunity. He will continue to be a part of REAL Care Ministry as opportunity and needs arise.

Pastor Johnny has dedicated over 32 years to serving the local church. With a passion for preaching, teaching, creative church development, and leadership, Johnny utilizes his talents and spiritual gifts to foster the growth of the body of Christ. He holds a master's degree in ministry from Bethel Seminary and a bachelor's degree in Christian Studies and Sociology from Alderson Broaddus University. Johnny's extensive pastoral experience and educational background provide a strong foundation for his calling.

Johnny has been driven by a passion for mentoring young people, revitalizing churches, and developing Christian leaders throughout his ministry. He has actively contributed to various ministry and community organizations, including Passages, Inc., where he supports individuals with special needs. Johnny's compassion, care, and advocacy practically demonstrate Christ's teachings.

Johnny cherishes his partnership with his wife, Sherrie; they have raised four children together. In addition to his ministry and family life, Johnny finds fulfillment in cooking, gardening, and nurturing his relationships with loved ones.

Johnny brings his pastoral experience, leadership skills, and compassionate heart to the ministry. Pastors in Prayer/ REAL Care Ministry is a support network that provides resources, counseling, and extended times together to nurture pastors' well-being. 

Johnny's deep understanding of pastors' challenges and his desire to see them thrive make him a valuable asset to the ministry. He extends his reach and impact beyond his local church, supporting pastors across different communities and fostering unity in the Body of Christ.
