So many of you have prayed for and supported Pastor Kevin Duval and his wonderful wife, Cindy, who has shown all of us that Christ is the big C in her life, not cancer. Cindy crossed over to the eternal life promised by Jesus on Saturday, September 21st. She exemplified unwavering faith in life’s most challenging trials. Pastor Kevin has faithfully led the Pastors in Prayer Ministry for over a decade, providing guidance and support to countless pastors and their families. His dedication to strengthening the body of Christ has inspired many, and we are grateful for his leadership.
Kevin and Cindy are a shining light in what can often feel like a dark journey, firmly believing that Jesus is the hope of Heaven. They leaned into the promises in Scripture, resting in His goodness and faithfulness, trusting the words of Jesus, “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.”
In this time of sorrow, I find comfort in Psalm 46:4, which states, “There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God.” Just as the river brings joy and sustenance, Cindy brought happiness and life to all who knew her. Her spirit will forever flow through our hearts, reminding us of her unwavering love and the hope she instilled in us.
As we stand in solidarity with Kevin and his family during this challenging time, let us unite in prayer. Let us lift him, asking for God’s comfort, peace, and presence to surround him. We encourage you to reach out, offer your love, and stand alongside him in faith. Together, our prayers form a powerful bond of support. We are grateful for your continued prayers and support for the Pastors in Prayer Ministry. Together, let us reflect the light of Christ to one another, especially in times of need. I leave you with this tribute to Cindy.
A Tribute to Cindy
Laughter’s Glow
In laughter's glow, she lit the day,
With joy that danced in every way.
A faithful heart, so warm and true,
In every role, she always knew.
Through trials faced, her spirit soared,
With hope and love, she brightly poured.
A guiding light for all she knew,
In every heart, her kindness grew.
Though she has left this earthly place,
Her love remains a sweet embrace.
In our memory, her legacy thrives,
In our hearts forever, love survives.
We will always be with the Lord (1 Thes. 4:17).
